Purpose:  To provide Council options and receive Council’s direction on changes for the 2018 – 2022 Financial Plan that will reduce the 2018 property tax increase from 3.01% to 2.00%.

Recommendation: 

  1. That the report titled “2018 - 2022 Financial Plan” dated 2018-APR-30, be received for information; and,
  2. That Council provide direction on how Staff should allocate $966,000 out of the 2018 operating budget in order to reduce the 2018 property tax increase from 3.01% to 2.0% based on the report titled “2018 - 2022 Financial Plan” dated 2018-APR-30.

It was moved and seconded that the Finance and Audit Committee recommend that Council approve the allocation of the 2017 operating surplus as follows:
