Following the close of the Public Hearing for Rezoning Application No. RA497 - 6450 Island Highway North, no further comments or submissions can be accepted by members of City Council.


ADJOURN THE PUBLIC HEARING FOR RA497 - 6450 ISLAND HIGHWAY NORTH.


Bylaw:


That “Zoning Amendment Bylaw 2024 No. 4500.220” (to rezone 6450 Island Highway North from Woodgrove Urban Centre [CC4] to Woodgrove Urban Centre [CC4] with a site-specific mini storage use) pass third reading.

To be introduced by Dave Laberge, Director, Public Safety.


Purpose:  To inform Council of ongoing activities at 1050 Terminal Avenue N., which substantially and unreasonably interfere with other persons’ use and enjoyment of property, and require repeated calls for police services to abate nuisances.


Recommendation:  That Council declare 1050 Terminal Avenue N. a “Nuisance” pursuant to the “Nuisance Abatement and Cost Recovery Bylaw 2019 No. 7250”, and to authorize Staff to record and charge for municipal services including police required to abate nuisance activity.

Purpose:  To obtain Council authorization to proceed with the registration of a Bylaw Contravention Notice on the property title of 2585 Lynburn Crescent.


Recommendation:  That Council direct the Corporate Officer to file a Bylaw Contravention Notice at the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia under Section 57 of the Community Charter for the property located at 2585 Lynburn Crescent for construction not completed as per the conditions of the building permit.

Purpose:  To obtain Council authorization to proceed with the registration of a Bylaw Contravention Notice on the property title of 6449 Lasalle Road.


Recommendation:   That Council direct the Corporate Officer to file a Bylaw Contravention Notice at the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia under Section 57 of the Community Charter for the property located at 6449 Lasalle Road for construction not completed as per the conditions of the building permit.

Purpose:  To obtain Council authorization to proceed with the registration of a Bylaw Contravention Notice on the property title of 1200 Thunderbird Drive.


Recommendation:   That Council direct the Corporate Officer to file a Bylaw Contravention Notice at the Land Title and Survey Authority of British Columbia under Section 57 of the Community Charter for the property located at 1200 Thunderbird Drive for construction started without a building permit in contravention of “Building Bylaw 2016 No. 7224”.
