Minutes of the Governance and Priorities Committee Meeting held in the Shaw Auditorium, Vancouver Island Conference Centre, 80 Commercial Street, Nanaimo, BC, on Monday, 2021-OCT-25, at 1:00 p.m.

Purpose:  To present an updated Community Amenity Contribution Policy to the Governance and Priorities Committee.

Recommendation:  That the Governance and Priorities Committee recommend that Council endorse the Community Amenity Contribution Policy.

Purpose:  To update Council on the pedestrian infrastructure prioritization tool, and to receive input to inform further development and implementation of the tool.

Purpose:  During the September 21, 2021 Regular Council meeting, Council passed a motion “That a scope of work and possible funding options for a comprehensive Chase River and Cinnabar Valley mobility plan, that includes consideration of automobile, pedestrian, public transit, cycling and other accessible transportation modes, be prepared for the Governance and Priorities Committee Meeting on connectivity challenges in south Nanaimo”.  This report provides context to mobility in South Nanaimo and outlines a potential study to inform short, medium, and long term mobility enhancements.
