Purpose:  To provide information to Council on the Nanaimo Lawn Bowling Club’s request for financial support for repairs to the bowling green at Bowen Park

Recommendation:  That Council approve the allocation of up to $20,000 from 2021 surplus project funds to support the repairs necessary at the Lawn Bowling Club.

Purpose:  To provide an update to Council regarding the replacement of a portion of the dock at the Brechin Boat Ramp.


Recommendation:  That the Finance and Audit Committee recommend that Council add to 2021 of the 2021-2025 Financial Plan a project for the dock replacement at the Brechin Boat Ramp with funding from the Brechin Boat Ramp Reserve and private contributions.

Purpose:  To obtain Council’s approval for additional funding to replace the Port Theatre Chiller system with a new heat pump system.


Recommendation:  That the Finance and Audit Committee recommend that Council direct Staff to increase the budget for the Port Theatre Chiller Replacement project from $712,199 to $1,042,005 funded by a $74,640 grant from CleanBC and $255,166 from the Climate Action Reserve Fund.

Purpose:  To inform Council of the changes to a 2021 project to replace ceramic tiles in washrooms, dressing rooms, backstage, and in the main washrooms at the Port Theatre.
